Students to get justice in court: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged to wait till the Supreme Court's verdict on quota reform. She expressed hope that the students will get justice in the court.

The Prime Minister said this in her address to the nation on Wednesday (July 17) at 7:30 pm. This speech was broadcast live on Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and private televisions.

Sources in the Prime Minister's Office informed that the Prime Minister delivered this speech to the nation in the context of the ongoing movement demanding reform of student quota.

In her speech, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that those who entered the quota reform movement and committed murder, looting and sabotage will be punished. In the interest of fair trial and justice, a judicial inquiry will be conducted on all the unintended incidents including murder.
