11,000 arrested across country in ongoing operation

About 11,000 people have been arrested in the ongoing operation of law and order forces. 222 people were arrested in 24 hours from Wednesday noon to yesterday noon.

The law and order forces started this operation after the conflict-violence centered on the quota reform movement. Somewhere the police raided with block red.

So far, 274 cases have been filed in various police stations of Dhaka city in connection with the clash and violence. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 3,011 people in these cases till Thursday (August 1) morning.

This information was reported by the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP on Thursday (August 1).

According to DMP, those involved in the violence-vandalism incident are being identified and arrested by analyzing the intelligence information and CCTV footage. As a result, 3 thousand 11 people have been arrested in Dhaka.

It was also informed that 274 cases have been registered in 50 police stations of DMP.

On the other hand, 26 cases have been registered till yesterday in Dhamrai, Savar, Ashulia, Keraniganj, Nawabganj, and Doha police stations around the capital. 287 people were arrested under these police stations including 8 people in these cases.

A total of 510 people were arrested in Gazipur. 10 of them were arrested yesterday. Meanwhile, 5 people were arrested in Narayanganj. A total of 607 people have been arrested in Narayanganj.

Six people were arrested in Chattogram City last Wednesday night. With this, the total number of arrests in Chittagong metropolis and district stood at 989. 38 thousand 200 people have been accused in 34 cases in this region.
