What Public Administration Minister said about announcement of general holidays
General students have called for a Total-non-cooperation movement from Sunday (August 4) around the quota movement. In this situation, discussions are going on whether there will be a general holiday for the employees of government and autonomous institutions.
On Saturday (August 3), Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain said, we had an instruction on last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. However, no decision has been made yet on how the office will run from Sunday. Maybe after a while we can tell about it.
Meanwhile, in the evening, an emergency meeting of the heads of the law and order forces is going on with Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Briefing will be held after 7 pm to inform about the decision taken in the meeting. According to the secretariat sources, curfew and office hours can be known at this time.
Earlier, a general holiday was declared on July 21 to 23 when violence broke out over the quota reform movement. After that, the office court was opened on a small scale. Sunday (July 28) to Tuesday (July 30) last week; On these three days, government and private offices are open from 9 am to 3 pm. And on Wednesday (July 31) and Thursday (August 1) the office was open from 9 am to 5 pm.
