Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman said that the army will return to the barracks when the police organize and resume normal operations.
He said this during a press briefing at Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Monday (August 12) afternoon.
The army chief said that the improvement of the law and order situation in the country is promising. If the situation improves further, all regular forces will conduct their counter-terrorism operations.
He said, 30 minority-related crimes have been committed in 20 districts of the country.
At this time, the army chief urged the political parties to avoid all violence.
Earlier Waker-Uz-Zaman gave various instructions to the army members working in the Khulna division. After that, he held a meeting with senior government officials including the Khulna Divisional Administration, District Administration, DIG, and KMP Commissioner.
