18 ex-ministers, 8 MPs banned from leaving country

Awami League former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, former State Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, former Parliament members Benazir Ahmed, and Kazi Nabil Ahmed, and 8 Parliamentarians have been banned from leaving the country by the court.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Assamach Jaglul Hossain's court gave this order based on two separate applications of the ACC on Monday (2 September).

Among the ministers who were banned from leaving the country, some mentioned here- former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, former State Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, former State Minister of Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, former ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former State Minister of Primary and Mass Education Md. Zakir Hossain, former Expatriates and Welfare Minister Imran Ahmed, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dasatgir Gazi, former Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, and many more.

The former MPs banned from leaving the country are Benazir Ahmed, Kazi Nabil Ahmed and Shahidul Islam Bakul, AKM Sarwar Jahan Badsha, Sheikh Afil Uddin, Meher Afroz Chumki, Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood and Sheikh Helal.
