Khaleda Zia acquitted in 5 cases

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been acquitted in five defamation cases.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court judge announced the verdict on Tuesday (September 3) morning.

The cases have been filed by AB Siddique, president of Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad.

Khaleda Zia's lawyer Masud Ahmed Talukder confirmed this information to the media.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who was convicted in a corruption case, has been temporarily freed by the government's executive order since 2020, but she was completely freed from her sentence after the government fell in mass protests.
