One-month of Government Fall, Students' 'Shaheedi March' Started
In memory of those killed in the quota movement and on the occasion of the one-month anniversary of the fall of the dictator Sheikh Hasina's government, the student movement 'Shaheedi March' has started.
'Shaheedi March' started in front of Dhaka University's (DU) anti-terror 'Raju Bhaskar' at 3:30 pm on Thursday (September 5).
Students and common people of different universities, colleges, technical schools, madrasas, and schools of Dhaka participated in the Shaheedi March.
At this time, the students started chanting slogans like 'Sofol Hok Sofol Hok, Shaheedi March Sofol Hok', 'Shohid der Karone, Voy Korina Morone', Abu Sayed/Shohider Rokto, Britha Jete Dibo Na'.
The march is scheduled to conclude with a rally at Shaheed Minar via Neelkhet, Science Lab, Kalabagan, Sangsad Bhaban, Farmgate, Karwan Bazar, Shahbag, and Raju Bhaskar.
Earlier, Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said on Wednesday (September 4) afternoon that we think it is time to remember those who let their chests get in front of the bullets. That is why we will hold a Shaheedi March across the country on the occasion of the one-month anniversary of the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on Thursday.
He said, the blood stain has not dried yet. Still, our brothers are groaning with scars on their bodies. Request to the media to document how our brothers were killed. Many people are asking us to march for victory. But till a new Bangladesh is being built, till people get their rights back, victory march is not possible.
