Police to Seek 10-day Remand of Ex-Minister Shajahan

Police will request a court to approve a 10-day remand for former Minister Shajahan Khan for questioning in Motaleb murder case at Dhanmondi police station.

Shajahan was also an Awami League presidium member, arrested in the case from Dhanmondi area early today.

Mohammad Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Model Police Station revealed this information on Friday (September 6) afternoon.

He said, that on Thursday (September 4), a teenager named Motaleb was shot dead in Zhigatala bus stand area.

On August 26, Abdul Motin, father of Motaleb, filed the murder case at Dhanmondi Police Station against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 175 others including Shajahan Khan.

According to the OC of Dhanmondi Model Police Station, Shahjahan Khan will be handed over to the court with a 10-day remand application on Friday after showing his arrest in that case.
