The Cabinet Division has instructed newly appointed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to remain in Dhaka and not report to their districts until further notice. Additionally, the scheduled briefing for the DCs at the Chief Adviser’s office on Wednesday has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

This decision was announced by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday night.

The appointments of new DCs in 25 districts on Monday and 34 districts on Tuesday have sparked controversy, with many accused of having ties to the previous government and Awami League. Disgruntled officials protested at the secretariat on Tuesday.
