One Garment Worker Killed in Ashulia Factory Clash

A female worker was killed during a clash between workers from two garment factories in front of Mascot Garments in the Jirabo area of Ashulia. The incident, which took place around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, also left five others injured.

The deceased has been identified as Rokeya Begum, 35, a worker at Mascot Garments. She was a resident of Gaibandha district.

Ashulia Industrial Police Superintendent Sarwar Alam confirmed the incident, stating, "Workers from Mascot Garments clashed with those from two neighboring factories. Rokeya Begum was seriously injured in the altercation and later died after being taken to the hospital."
