Mild Heat Wave Sweeping Over 22 Districts

A mild heat wave has been sweeping over most parts of the country for the past few days. The heat decreased slightly on Saturday but increased again today. In this situation, the heat wave may continue in 22 districts, according to the Meteorological Department.

This information was reported in the weather forecast on Sunday (September 22) morning.

The country's highest temperature on Saturday was recorded in Syedpur, Nilphamari, where the temperature is 39°C. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 23.5°C in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.

It said the extension of the monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, and central Bangladesh to Assam. One of these extensions extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay of Bengal. Low pressure is likely to develop over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas over the next 24 hours.

In this situation, Bangladesh's day and night temperature may remain almost unchanged in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday. However, a mild to moderate heat wave is moving over 22 districts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions including Sylhet and Jessore districts, and may continue.

During the same period, many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions may receive rain with thunder.

Apart from this, the day temperature may drop by one to two degrees across the country on Monday and the night temperature may drop slightly.
