Yunus Sits with BNP delegation at State House 'Jamuna'

A delegation of 6 members of BNP sat in a meeting with Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at his residence 'Jamuna'.

Members of the delegation including Mirza Fakhrul Islam entered the chief advisor's residence after 2 pm on Saturday (October 5).

The BNP delegation was led by the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The other team members are BNP standing committee members BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Abdul Moin Khan, and Salahuddin Ahmed.

It is known that the main issues on the discussion table are the activities of the six commissions formed for state reform, the law and order situation of the country, and the thirteenth national parliament election.

After BNP, discussions will take place today at 3:00 pm with Jamaat-e-Islami, at 3:30 pm with Ganatantra Mancha, at 4:00 pm with Left Democratic Alliance (LDA), at 4:30 pm with Hefazat-e-Islam, and at 5:00 pm with the Islami Andolon.

The component parties of Ganatantra Mancha include Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Nagarik Oikya, Revolutionary Workers Party, Ganosamhati Andolon, Bhasani Anusari Parishad, and Rashtra Sangskar Andolon.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina's regime in the students' uprising, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Yunus on August 8. In the meantime, the Chief Advisor held two rounds of meetings with the political parties. Now the third round of dialogue is being held from today.
