BNP’s Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, has congratulated the Bangladesh National Women’s Football Team for winning the SAFF Championship. On Wednesday night (October 30), he extended his congratulations.
Rahman stated that Bangladesh won its first SAFF Championship two years ago. Today, the indomitable red-and-green women’s team retained the title by defeating host Nepal 2-1 in the SAFF Women’s Championship.
He added that this victory is a historic achievement for football in Bangladesh. Led by Sabina Khatun, our team has not only won a major title but also defended it successfully. I personally, and on behalf of the team, extend my heartfelt congratulations on this achievement.
In his congratulatory message, the BNP Acting Chairman expressed hope that Bangladesh will continue this momentum and achieve even greater success, and that players and officials will play a constructive role in restoring the glory of Bangladeshi football.
In a separate message, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also extended warm congratulations to the Bangladesh Women’s Football Team for becoming SAFF Champions.
