Dengue Claims 10 Lives in A Single Day

10 more people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours. 966 people were admitted to the hospital at this time.

This was informed by a dengue report from the Department of Health on Saturday (November 2).

It is said that 452 people from Dhaka City Corporation and the rest are outside Dhaka among those who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours. 791 people were discharged from the hospital during this time.

So far this year, 63,165 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue. Among them, 58,729 people got clearance. 310 people died.

Atiqur Rahman, a specialized doctor at DMCH said that dengue is not seasonal now, it happens all year round. It is increasing when it starts raining. In addition to the use of anti-mosquito drugs for the prevention of dengue, the City Corporation should conduct campaigns everywhere. At the same time, everyone should be aware of it.

Entomologist Dr. Manjur Chowdhury says that appropriate measures should be taken with proper manpower by carrying out the survey properly.

It should be noted that in 2023, 21,179 patients were affected by dengue and 1,705 people died in the history of the country.
