6cr Youth Ignored Immediate Election in Bangladesh: AB Party
Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, Joint Member Secretary of Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party has commented that 6 crore youth of the July Movement don't want elections.
He made this comment in a discussion meeting on Sunday (November 17).
Barrister Fuad said, "The interim government is not the government of article 90 of the constitution that they are coming to elect. There are two reasons for this. The first is there was no leadership of any political party in the July-August Movement. Although we are political activists. We participated in the movement. And the second is, none of the 6 crore youths who led this movement demanded elections."
He said, '6 crore youth did not say we want immediate elections. Then we need to understand the mandate of this government. This is the government of the youth. We emphasize what the youth want.
He also said, "Political parties want elections so that tender, extortion, usurpation can be done by them. The government has changed, the extortionist has changed, But extortion has not changed."
