President and Chief Adviser Pay Tribute at Shikha Anirban

On the occasion of Armed Forces Day, President Md. Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus paid their respects to the martyrs of the Liberation War by laying wreaths at Shikha Anirban.

On Thursday (November 21), at around 8:15 AM, the President paid his respects to the martyrs of the Liberation War at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment. Following this, the Chief Adviser offered his tribute at around 8:30 AM.

On this day, the President expressed deep respect for the Armed Forces martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1971 Liberation War. After placing a wreath at the Shikha Anirban, he stood in silent reverence for a while to honor their memory.

A smartly turned-out team from the Army, Navy, and Air Force saluted the President during this moment. A somber tune was played on the bugle, and the President also signed the visitors' book at the site.

Before this, the President was greeted by the Chiefs of the Armed Forces and senior officers from the Armed Forces Division (AFD) upon his arrival at Shikha Anirban.

Afterward, the Chief Adviser laid a wreath at Shikha Anirban in tribute to the fallen soldiers. Following the wreath-laying, he stood in silent respect for a while to honor the memory of the Armed Forces martyrs who made the highest sacrifice during the Liberation War of 1971.

A guard of honor was given by a team from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, followed by a mournful bugle tune.

Earlier, on the occasion of Armed Forces Day, the President and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Md. Shahabuddin, and Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, issued separate messages.
