CA's Talk With Political Parties Underway
The Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus has met with various political parties as he seeks national unity.
Representatives from various political parties including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami are taking part in the talks that began after 4 pm on Wednesday (December 4) at the capital's Foreign Service Academy. The meeting aimed at national unity
The BNP delegation is led by Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moyeen Khan, Syed Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, and AZM Zahid Hossain.
The Jamaat-e-Islami delegation is led by Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Gono Samhangti's Jonayed Saki, Nagorik Oikya's Mahmudur Rahman Manna, and Gono Odhikar Parishad's Nurul Haque Nur and Rashed Khan
Leaders from other political parties, including the Gano Odhikar Parishad, Gono Mukti Mancha, Ganosanghati Andolon, and Nagarik Oikya, also participated in the meeting.
Earlier, on Tuesday, December 3 in the evening, the Chief Advisor held a meeting with the leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. On Thursday, he will meet with the leaders of religious communities.
It is noteworthy that after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled to India following a popular uprising on August 5, Dr Yunus formed an interim government. Since then, tensions have been rising between Bangladesh and India.
