Cloud Covers Sky in Dhaka, When the Sun to Appear
A low-pressure system has formed over the Bay of Bengal, resulting in a cloudy sky over Dhaka and several other regions in the country. Some areas have also reported rain. This situation is expected to improve by Monday (December 23).
In the afternoon on Saturday (December 21), meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque shared this information.
He stated that due to this low pressure, some areas in the Khulna, Barishal, and Dhaka divisions, as well as the coastal regions of Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram divisions may experience rain over the next 24 hours. The cloudy weather is expected to clear up by Monday (December 23).
According to AKM Nazmul Haque, the skies will remain cloudy on Saturday. On Sunday, some northern regions, including Dhaka, may get glimpses of the sun, though it might not appear in the morning but could be visible after midday. The gloomy weather is anticipated to dissipate by Monday (December 23).
The meteorologist also mentioned that there is currently no likelihood of a cold wave hitting Dhaka and its surrounding regions soon.
Meanwhile, the weather department's 72-hour forecast indicates that the distinct low-pressure system over the southwestern Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas intensified into a depression on Friday evening. As of 6 am on Saturday (December 21), it was located over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. The system is likely to move further north-northeastward.
