BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, we have marched one step ahead to the path of unity through this gathering. We hope that we will be able to move forward with this unity very soon. All are present here for only one reason that is they want to see change, they want to see fall of this government and they want release of Begum Khaleda Zia.
He said these at the gathering of Jatiya Oikya Prokriya at Mohanagar Natya Mancha in the capital on Saturday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, Dr. Kamal Hossain is showing new path to the people of Bangladesh. In this crisis moment he made the people come forward by showing path of liberty through this Oikya Prokriya. Thanks to Dr. Kamal Hossain.
He said, if we cannot move away this government, if we cannot establish government of people, if we cannot establish government of people’s unity then the independence of this country will not be availed. People will be deprived of their rights.
Criticizing the government the BNP leader said, the learned discussants have clearly said that misrule is going on in the country. This misrule has broken all our dreams of independence. It has demolished our desires. At present thousands of cases are filed against 3 lakh leaders and activists. It was done to keep people away from movement, keep people away from the next election.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the demands that have come from the Jatiya Oikya Prokriya are the same demands for all other parties. Of those the main conditions are- this government must have to resign, parliament has to be dissolved, an impartial election commission has to be formed for the election period, army has to be deployed and EVM method should not be used in election at any cost.
