UK BNP leader fined for vandalism in Bangladesh High Commission
A London Magistrate Court has awarded punishment to United Kingdom Sechchasebak Dal president Nasir Ahmed Shahin for vandalism at the Bangladesh High Commission in London. District Judge of the London Magistrate Court delivered the verdict on Wednesday fining Shahin 1020 pounds. The court also rejected the appeal of innocence terming Shahin’s activities as criminal offense.
The information came through a press release sent from the press wing of Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday.
Besides, another verdict will be given on November 8 in a case filed against UK BNP president MA Malik in the Hendon Magistrate Court.
Earlier, on October 16 at a bench of three magistrates in the same court the trial began in presence of First Secretary of Bangladesh High Commission and Chancery Chief Sudipto Alam as a witness of the case.
In association the court opined that attack was made to nation’s emotion, social and psychological sentiment by dishonoring the portrait of father of the nation.
On February 7 last BNP attacked and vandalized the Bangladesh High Commission in London.
