PM’s open letter to the leaders deprived of nominations

Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina has written open letter to the leaders deprived of nominations who earlier submitted nomination papers to take part in the upcoming eleventh national parliament election.

The letters signed by Awami League president Sheikh Hasina were sent to those leaders from the Awami League president’s office on Saturday.

In this regard Awami League joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok told the newsmen at Awami League president’s office, at least 24 candidates did not get the nominations. Of them 6-7 agreed to withdraw their nominations. We hope that the rest will withdraw their nominations by tomorrow (Sunday) after getting the letters.

In the letter Awami League president Sheikh Hasina urged the party leaders-activists and nomination aspirants saying, the next eleventh national parliament election is very important to protect the country and nation from the ferocious paw of BNP-Jamaat and to establish sustainable democratic ruling system in Bangladesh. For this reason we have taken decision to take part in the election under alliance of political parties with same ideology. My special request to you for the sake of holding the election unitedly you will take all out measures to help win the grand alliance by withdrawing your candidacy for the grand alliance candidates. Your sacrifice, labor and efficiency all are under my consideration.

She said, we firmly believe, your favorite organization Bangladesh Awami League will serve the people of the country after winning by a huge margin. You also will be the partner of that victory. I can say for sure, if Awami League remains united then no one has the organizational force to defeat the symbol of boat.

In the letter Sheikh Hasina also said, hope that your organizational efficiency, power and ability for the Awami League and grand alliance candidate in your electoral area will ensure the victory of Awami League. To maintain the continuation of development and progress of your beloved country led by Awami League, we are hoping for your instinctive and active participation with your leaders-activists and supporters in the campaign and all out activities in the upcoming national parliament election.
