Awami League joint general secretary Abdur Rahman said, the secret meeting of Tarique Rahman with Pakistani secret service ISI in London and the secret meeting of Mirza Fakhrul in Pakistani embassy are hints to foil the election.
He said these at a party press conference at Awami League president’s political office at Dhanmondi in the capital on Sunday.
Abdur Rahman said, visits may take place due to diplomatic relations between one state with another. But keeping ahead the election in the month of victory the meeting with Pakistan embassy officials raises questions to the minds of people.
He said, at one end the news of the secret meeting of Tarique Rahman with Pakistani secret service ISI and at the other end the secret meeting and visit of Mirza Fakhrul in Pakistan embassy gives us the hints about conspiracy. The two meetings are the same kind. From that point we think that these meetings are part of conspiracy to foil election and there is also plot to destroy the spirit of liberation war based politics.
Terming BNP as a corporate organization for their nomination business Abdur Rahman said, BNP is not a political party rather a corporate organization.
Accusing BNP’s Fakhrul and Rizvi, Nanok said, Mirza Fakhrul and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi are leading the nomination business and convicted fugitive Tarique Rahman is behind this.
He said, the terrorist and arson activities that BNP leaders-activists are conducting regarding the nomination business, as part of that we can see the vandalism at BNP Gulshan and Nayapaltan offices. This attack not only hinders the upcoming election atmosphere but also the fair trend of democratic culture.
