Declaring the New Year as Mujib Year, Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, those who say about ideology are now busy to protect terrorists, anti state and corrupt people like Jamaat-BNP. It is very shameful for the country and people.

She said these at a discussion on victory day organized by Awami League at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Monday afternoon.

Sheikh Hasina said, those who killed people for their own political interest, how they seek votes to the people?

The Prime Minister said, we seek vote to the people of Bangladesh for the symbol boat on the occasion of victory day, so that nobody can hinder the progress of Bangladesh. We want to build a developed prosperous Bangladesh, which was dreamed by Father of the nation. We hope that people of the country will not disappoint us.

Sheikh Hasina said, Oikyafront was formed, but they cannot tell till today- who will be their head of government if they form government. Whether the person will be from convicted of orphanage trust embezzlement or from the convicted of grenade attack that killed Ivy Rahman or from the defeated force of 71? I am leaving that to the people of the country.

The Jatiya Oikyafront led by Dr. Kamal Hossain was formed on October 13 of the current year. After that former Awami League finance minister’s son Reza Kibria and former state minister for information Professor Abu Sayeed joined Dr. Kamal Hossain’s party Gono Forum. Both of them became Oikyafront candidates in the election with symbol sheaf of paddy.
