Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said if her party comes to power again the GDP growth of the country will reach 10 percent within the next five years.
She said her party has achieved unprecedented progress in the country during their last tenures and it will continue through their comeback to power by people’s mandate.
Sheikh Hasina has announced her party’s election manifesto at a city hotel on Tuesday morning focusing the slogan - ‘Bangladesh on the march towards prosperity’ – ahead of the 11th general election slated for December 30.
In the manifesto, the AL chief said people-friendly law enforcing agencies will be built up, zero-tolerance policy against corruption will be taken, and skilled, service-oriented and accountable administration will be ensured.
If the party comes to power, they will quickly implement the ongoing mega projects, modern amenities will be expanded to every village, poverty and disparity will be eliminated from the society, she pledged.
