Senior joint secretary general of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, not BNP, Awami League is printing fake ballot papers. Administration is being used to hold an election of farce.

He said these at a press conference organized at BNP central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Thursday.

Rizvi said, there are lakhs of cases against BNP leaders and activists. They cannot stay at home. They are on the run. How they can print fake ballot papers? If BNP goes to press to print posters then that press is attacked.

He said, government will not get 10 to 15 percent votes in the eleventh national parliament election. The rest of votes are for BNP and Oikyafront. These types of statistics are being upheld in the international media. And for this the government is so desperate.

Rizvi said, on Wednesday when two of our leaders went to produce them before the High Court they were detained by plain cloth police, but it is being denied. To make the ruling party win Election Commission is playing a shameless role.

He also said, leaders-activists are being detained after attacking the election campaign program. Workers-supporters are being forcefully disappeared when they are returning from participating rallies and procession, campaign mikes are being broken, posters of sheaf of paddy are being torn off, election camps of sheaf of paddy are being vandalized. Even police and Awami League terrorists are attacking the presses when posters and campaign materials of BNP are being printed.

He took part in the election from Patuakhali-3 constituency with sheaf of paddy symbol. He got only 6 thousand 176 votes. In this constituency Professor Abu Sayeed who recently joined Oikyafront from Awami League got only 15 thousand 391 votes, which is one eighteenth of Tuku. The Jatiya Oikyafront led by Dr. Kamal Hossain was formed on October 13 of the current year. After that former Awami League finance minister’s son Reza Kibria and former state minister for information Professor Abu Sayeed joined Dr. Kamal Hossain’s party Gono Forum. Both of them became Oikyafront candidates in the election with symbol sheaf of paddy. On the other hand just before the election former Awami League MP Golam Maula Rony joined BNP and ran for election with symbol sheaf of paddy. AH
