A writ was filed with the High Court challenging the legitimacy of the Election Commission's decision that Jamaat-e-Islami leaders are not barred from participating in the December 30 general election.

Barrister Tania Amir submitted the writ plea on Wednesday morning.

A HC bench of Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Md Khairul Alam will hear the writ petition on Thursday, said the petitioner.
