Despite an extended 9-day holiday for Eid, the country's economy will not experience any stagnation, stated Economic Advisor Dr Salehuddin Ahmed.
Speaking to journalists after a meeting of the Advisory Council on Government Procurement at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 27), he assured that economic activities would continue smoothly.
Dr Salehuddin explained that even with the prolonged holiday, there will be no disruption to the economy, as most members of the advisory council will remain in Dhaka during this period.
When asked whether the absence of several secretaries, who are traveling abroad for the holidays, might affect important decision-making, he dismissed concerns, stating that modern digital systems enable decision-making without physical presence.
