A robbery carried out by a group of 30 people in Dhanmondi 8, Dhaka, has resulted in the arrest of six individuals. Four were arrested as they attempted to flee the scene. The suspects were apprehended by law enforcement during the early stages of their escape.
Among those arrested were three students from North South University (NSU)—Yasin Hasan Ivan, Mobasswer Ahmed and Wakil Mahmud Soujat. Ivan, known to be affiliated with the Khilgaon Thana Chhatra League, was identified as one of the key suspects in the robbery.
Additionally, one of the detained individuals is reported to be a member of the Bangladesh Army, though his rank and identity are yet to be confirmed by authorities. Law enforcement is currently working to verify the details of the fourth suspect involved in the incident.
Following the case, an operation was carried out in the Hazari Bagh police station area on Thursday (March 27) morning, resulting in the arrest of Abdullah and Suman, who were implicated in the robbery.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are continuing to piece together the details of the crime, as well as working to identify all individuals involved in the robbery.
