Bangladesh and the United States have held high-level discussions aimed at the modernization and capacity building of the country’s aviation sector.
The talks took place on Tuesday during a courtesy call by US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroz Khanam at the Secretariat.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present at the meeting, where both nations underscored the vital importance of deepening the longstanding bilateral partnership between Dhaka and Washington.
During the session, the Bangladesh side specifically sought enhanced American cooperation in modernizing aviation infrastructure and technical capacity development.
In response, Ambassador Christensen reaffirmed Washington's unwavering support for the present government, assuring maximum cooperation in advancing shared priorities within the civil aviation and tourism industries.
