Fuel Monitoring: Govt Deploys 293 Mobile Courts across 62 Districts

The government has launched a massive nationwide monitoring operation, deploying 293 mobile courts across 62 districts to oversee the country's fuel supply and distribution network.

The specialized drives, aimed at curbing irregularities and ensuring market stability, have already resulted in 78 legal cases.

Authorities confirmed that fines totaling BDT 315,550 were imposed on various outlets for non-compliance and distribution malpractices during the initial sweep.

According to a statement from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, these operations are part of a broader strategy to maintain a steady fuel supply and prevent artificial crises.

In the capital, executive magistrates from the Energy Division are conducting daily inspections at key locations across Dhaka city to monitor sales and stock levels.

The Energy Division further announced that the monitoring drive strats on Saturday in Dhaka and its surrounding areas.

To bolster the initiative, authorities have urged the general public to assist the vigilance teams by reporting any suspected irregularities through designated official phone numbers.
