Four young leaders from Bangladesh have been recognized in the prestigious QECT 100 Young Leaders Awards 2026, an initiative marking the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II and celebrating youth-driven impact across the Commonwealth.

The Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust (QECT) announced the awardees, honoring 100 young changemakers selected through a highly competitive global process.

The Bangladeshi recipients are Shah Rafayat Chowdhury of Footsteps Bangladesh, Munia Islam Mozumder of Teach for Bangladesh, Imran Hamin of Farm Solution BD, and Md. Rezwanul Islam Shuvo of Eco Sentinels Bangladesh, according to a press release issued by the British High Commission on Tuesday.

The awards celebrate outstanding initiatives addressing critical global challenges, specifically in the sectors of education and employability, environment, food and agriculture, health, and social inclusion.

This initiative serves to commemorate what would have been the 100th birth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II, reflecting her lifelong commitment to empowering young people to strengthen their communities and shape the future.

According to the QECT, the awardees will benefit from a series of capacity-building programs, global networking opportunities, and curated engagements designed to amplify the scale and impact of their work.

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke congratulated the recipients, noting that their work reflects the shared Commonwealth values of inclusion and innovation. “Their achievements honour Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s enduring belief in the power of young people to build a better future,” she said.
