Bangladesh has officially welcomed the finalization of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran, expressing optimism that the diplomatic breakthrough will restore calm and strengthen security across the Middle East.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that peace and stability in the Middle East remain vital for both regional and global development.

"Bangladesh has consistently been calling for de-escalation and resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy," the foreign ministry noted, extending its appreciation to all parties and international facilitators who contributed to the historic deal.

Dhaka urged all involved stakeholders to build on the positive momentum generated by the agreement to address any remaining outstanding issues through continued diplomatic engagement.

Highlighting the global economic and humanitarian stakes, the ministry expressed hope that the deal would be implemented in good faith to ensure durable, long-term sustainability.

Bangladesh also underscored the urgency of restoring regional calm, ensuring supply chain stability, and fostering broader regional cooperation.
