British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke said on Sunday that the bilateral alliance linking the United Kingdom and Bangladesh proceeds to advance "from strength to strength," bolstered by robust interpersonal bonds, dynamic commercial engagements, and collaboration concerning regional and planetary matters.

She offered these observations to news personnel following a conference conducted with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir at the foreign ministry in the capital.

Cooke noted that her dialogue with the state minister spanned a broad spectrum of mutual objectives uniting the two nations, encompassing commerce and capital placement, migration cooperation, and backing for the Rohingya humanitarian effort.

Area-specific and worldwide concerns of shared significance also occupied a central place during their deliberations, she indicated.

"Our conversation covered a wide range of shared priorities, including trade and investment, migration cooperation, support for the Rohingya response, and regional and international issues," the British diplomat remarked.

Emphasizing the bedrock of diplomatic relations, Cooke observed that the UK and Bangladesh maintain a durable association founded upon profound ties connecting the citizens of both realms.

The connection is additionally anchored in lively trade and investment links alongside close joint efforts on regional and global fronts, she supplemented.

Cooke voiced her eagerness to collaborate closely alongside the state minister and the administration of Bangladesh to further strengthen the bilateral connection and convert the partnership into tangible dividends for both nations.

"I look forward to meeting and to working closely with the Honorable State Minister and, of course, the Government of Bangladesh to build on our strong partnership and deliver tangible benefits for both our countries," she stated.
