Warmly receiving the envoy, the State Minister discussed avenues for advancing multilateralism and anticipated high-level bilateral engagements on the sidelines of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.

The discussions covered humanitarian and strategic priorities, as the State Minister acknowledged ongoing Canadian backing for the Rohingya response while the High Commissioner reiterated support for safe, dignified and voluntary repatriation to Myanmar.
