PM to Present Bangladesh's Future Vision to Global Leaders at UNGA

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will outline Bangladesh's future vision and strategic plans before world leaders at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his visit, he will also participate in bilateral and multilateral meetings with heads of state and government, prioritizing national interests.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir made these remarks during a press conference on Monday local time (September 21) in New York. Prime Minister's Office spokesperson Mahdy Amin was also present at the briefing.

Humayun Kabir stated that the Prime Minister will present Bangladesh's future plans to global leaders at the UN session, adding that a meeting between the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the U.S. President will be scheduled later, depending on mutual convenience.

Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in New York to attend the 81st UNGA session and is scheduled to deliver his address to the General Assembly on September 24.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, along with his spouse, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and other members of his entourage, landed at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport aboard a Turkish Airlines flight at 6:20 PM local time on Monday.

Upon their arrival at the airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN, Irene Zubaida Khan, and Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States, Tariq Md. Ariful Islam.
