Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed New York for home, concluding his five-day visit to attend the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

A commercial Emirates flight carrying the Prime Minister and his entourage departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York bound for Dhaka via Dubai at 11:30 PM local time. The Prime Minister is accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and members of his delegation.

The departure was confirmed by the Prime Minister's Press Secretary, Saleh Shibli.

The flight is scheduled to arrive in Dubai on September 26 at 8:00 PM. From there, it will depart for Dhaka at 2:00 AM, with the Prime Minister expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on September 27 at 8:40 AM.

During his visit, the Prime Minister delivered his historic maiden address in Bengali at the UN General Debate. In his speech, he articulated Bangladesh's positions and priorities on global peace and security, climate change, sustainable development, humanitarian crises, economic cooperation, and the Rohingya crisis.

Throughout the five-day tour, alongside participating in various UN General Assembly events, the Prime Minister held meetings with multiple heads of state and government, international organizations, and representatives from economic and development partner institutions.
