Bangladesh Highlights Tech Investment Opportunities at High-Level Silicon Valley Roundtable

The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Los Angeles hosted a high-level CEO and Senior Executive Roundtable titled “Technology Investment and Strategic Partnerships for Bangladesh’s Growth” at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley in California.

The September 27 gathering brought together a senior Bangladeshi ministerial delegation with leading technology CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the United States.

High-Level Ministerial Delegation
The Bangladesh delegation was led by Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Finance and Planning. The high-powered team included: Shama Obaed Islam, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Boby Hajjaj, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, Rehan Asif Asad, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology

They were joined by Kazi Muhammad Jabed Iqbal, Consul General of Bangladesh in Los Angeles, alongside officials from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Silicon Valley Leadership and Engagement
The roundtable was moderated by Shamim Mohammad, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer of CarMax.

The event drew prominent industry leaders, including: Amjad Masad, Founder and CEO of Replit, Jay Chaudhry, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Zscaler, Dr. Omar Ishrak, former Chairman of Intel and former Chairman and CEO of Medtronic.

Additionally, senior executives, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs participated from cutting-edge sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cybersecurity, space technology, digital infrastructure, healthcare technology, and advanced manufacturing.

Strategic Sectors for Collaboration
The interactive discussions centered on practical avenues for foreign investment and technological partnership.

Key areas of focus included artificial intelligence development, cybersecurity frameworks, semiconductor design and manufacturing, next-generation digital infrastructure, advanced education and skills development, venture capital ecosystems, earth observation, and healthcare technologies.
