
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday launched a tree plantation initiative at Begum Khaleda Zia Women’s College situated in Fulgazi upazila, Feni.
The Prime Minister officially inaugurated the drive around 3:45 pm on the college grounds by planting a sapling.
In the course of the event, PM Tarique Rahman interacted directly with the college students, encouraging them to actively participate in sports and extracurricular pursuits alongside their academic endeavors.

Following his address, he handed over various items of sports equipment to the students.
The ceremony was attended by the college’s faculty and student body, representatives from the local administration, and other relevant officials.
Earlier that afternoon, the Prime Minister launched Phase I of the Muhuri-Kohua Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation Project, while also inaugurating the excavation work along the Muhuri River in Parshuram upazila, Feni.
