
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has attended the inaugural ceremony of the international dialogue, Bay of Bengal Conversation 2026, as the chief guest.
He joined the opening session at 9:15 AM on Saturday (October 3) at the Grand Ballroom of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
Organized for the fifth time by the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS), this year’s three-day international conference is themed "Fragments, Frontiers, Futures: Navigating Power, Technology and Trust in a World Rewritten".
As the keynote speaker of the inaugural event, the Prime Minister is addressing Bangladesh's national stance, global shifts, international cooperation, and regional prospects.
The 5th edition of the conference brings together over 200 speakers, 300 delegates, and 1,000 participants from more than 100 countries, including prominent politicians, diplomats, researchers, economists, policymakers, and media personnel.
The conference is being held from October 3 to October 5.
Across various sessions, attendees will discuss global power balances, international security, economic transformation, climate change, technology, democratic governance, and trade centered around the Bay of Bengal region.
