The collection of family-based data under the nationwide Family Card program is set to begin on Monday (October 12).
Trained and credentialed government enumerators will visit households to record information regarding each family's socioeconomic conditions.
To build public awareness about this initiative, measures have been taken to broadcast informational announcements through mosques, temples, pagodas, and churches across the country.
At the same time, authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant against fraudsters who may demand money under the pretext of enrolling names in the Family Card list.
The Ministry of Social Welfare stated that data collectors holding official identification cards will visit households to gather information regarding the family's financial and social status.
This data will be used to determine the priority list for receiving assistance.
The government has clarified that no fee is required for the Family Card.
Citizens are advised to report any demands for money—made under the pretext of registering for the card—to the national emergency service number, 1098.
Additionally, emphasis has been placed on ensuring that information regarding elderly and differently-abled family members is not overlooked during the data collection process.
