
Daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina has made a record of being Prime Minister for the fourth time in Bangladesh.
Today (Monday) Sheikh Hasina took oath as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term. President Md. Abdul Hamid administered the oath.
Sheikh Hasina is performing her duties as the chief of Awami League for 38 years. It is also an example for discharging responsibilities as a chief of any political party.
Sheikh Hasina for the first time took oath as the Prime Minister on June 23, 1996 and performed her responsibilities for 5 years. Later from 2009 to 2014 and from 2014 to 2019 in two terms for 10 years she played her role as the Prime Minister. And on January 7 for the fourth term she took oath as the Prime Minister.
In the history of Bangladesh there is no example for anybody of being Prime Minister for third consecutive term and also for being Prime Minister for fourth times.
Sheikh Hasina was also the leader of opposition in the parliament for three times. She played her role as the opposition leader in the third parliament in 1986, in the fifth parliament in 1991 and in eighth parliament in 2001.
Sheikh Hasina is the eldest daughter of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She was born on September 28, 1947 at Tungipara in Gopalganj. After around 6 years of Bangabandhu’s brutal killing she returned to the country as the President of Awami League on May 17, 1981.
