Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, those who have done trading with nomination, have done auction, how they expect to win in election? They have to find out the reason behind their defeat.
She said these at a program on the occasion of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s home coming day organized at Krishibid Institution in the capital on Thursday.
The Prime Minister said, all the movements of BNP-Jamaat have turned into failure. And those who fail to wage movement cannot win in election.
She said, in Sylhet Inam Ahmed Chowdhury was not given the nomination, it was given to the man who gave more money. Inam Ahmed could have won the election if he was given the nomination. In Dhamrai it was expected that Ataur Rahman Khan’s son Ziaur Rahman Khan would be given the nomination. He might win but was not given the nomination. Taimur Alam Khondoker was not given the nomination, like this in many areas nominations were given to them who paid more.
About giving nominations to 25 Jamaat-e-Islami candidates with symbol sheaf of paddy the Prime Minister said, now people of Bangladesh believe in spirit of liberation war. They will not cast their votes for war criminals. People of the country suffered al lot after the independence when other parties except Awami League remained in power. The country is directed according to the ideology of father of the nation only when Awami League remains in power.
Sheikh Hasina said, we have emerged as a developing country. We have done it within only 10 years, why the others could not do it in 28 years? Because, they do not believe in the spirit of liberation war. When the handmade organization of father of the nation comes to power then the development happens for people and this development spread throughout the villages and towns.
