Allegations were made in the press conference that BCL leaders and activists obstructed general students from casting their votes in Salimullah Muslim Hall, Shahidulah Hall and Hazi Muhammad Mohsin Hall.
In another press conference VP candidate of JCD Mostafizur Rahman said, we have boycotted the election for party oriented administration’s one sided attitude, overnight voting at Kuwait Maitree Hall, attack on several candidates, creating obstruction against voters and for considering overall situation.
But Vice Chancellor of DU Professor Akhtaruzzaman said, students have casted their votes in a very nice and festive atmosphere. DUCSU has stepped one stage ahead in its heritage following their vast participation. I am overwhelmed after watching the expression of respect to democratic values by the students. I am inspired by them.
