The declaration came in at 11:15 pm on Tuesday by National Moon Sighting Committee.
Chairman of National Moon Sighting Committee and State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah said, the decision was taken after consultation with the country’s top alems and muftis.

Earlier the committee said that the moon was not sighted in the sky of Bangladesh and Eid ul Fitr will be observed on Thursday.
