
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md. Asaduzzaman Mia said, police are not arresting anybody without specific complain, Oikyafront is raising questions about neutrality of police without any information.
He said these at a press conference at Motijheel in the capital on Friday.
The DMP Commissioner said, police forces are prepared to face any situation in election. Stern action will be taken if any evil force tries to create anarchy centering the election.
He said, there will be four control rooms of police in the capital to make the upcoming eleventh national parliament election fair and free of violence. Voters’ safe going to the election center and returning home will be ensured.
Mentionable, the eleventh national parliament election will be held on December 30. Total 39 registered political parties are taking part in the election. Arch rivals Awami League and BNP are going to face each other after 10 years. Both the parties are contesting under alliances. More than 1800 candidates are contesting in the election. Of them around 50 are independent candidates and the rest are candidates of different political parties.
