
Bangladesh has set a new remittance record in November of the current 2025-2026 financial year. In the just-concluded month, expatriate workers sent home $2.88952 billion (288 crore 95 lakh 20 thousand) in remittances.
This amount is equivalent to Tk 35,252.1440 crore (Tk 35 thousand 252 crore 14 lakh 40 thousand), calculated at an exchange rate of Tk 122 per dollar.
This information comes from an updated report released by the Bangladesh Bank on Monday (December 1).
The report indicates that the country received $2.88952 billion in remittances in November. Based on this figure, expatriates sent an average of approximately $96.30 million per day during the month.
Channel Breakdown
According to the Bangladesh Bank report, the total remittances received in November were channeled through the following institutions:

Previous Months
Prior to this new record, remittances in October and September of the current fiscal year were $2.56348 billion and $2.68588 billion, respectively. In August and July, the amounts were $2.42189 billion and $2.4780 billion.
Overall, expatriate workers sent home $30.328 billion (3,032 crore 80 lakh) in remittances throughout the last fiscal year (2024-25), which stands as the highest annual inward remittance record in the country's history.
