A meeting is being held with the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh, Dr Muhammad Yunus, with a delegation from the BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party), led by its Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The meeting began at the Jamuna State Guest House on Monday, February 10, 2025, after 6:00 pm.
In addition to the party's Secretary General, the BNP delegation includes Permanent Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
According to sources from the Chief Advisor's office and BNP, the delegation will discuss the current political situation of the country. The BNP plans to present its stance regarding the vandalism incidents across the country, including at Dhanmondi 32. The party is also seeking cooperation from the government and desires early elections. They may inquire about a specific election roadmap during the meeting.
Before the meeting, the BNP delegation entered the Chief Advisor's residence, Jamuna, at 6:05 pm on Monday.
The meeting is expected to focus on discussions concerning the current state of affairs in the country. This was confirmed by Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP's media cell.
