
BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has called for national unity following the 13th Parliamentary Election, asserting that while political ideologies may differ, the task of nation-building requires a collective effort.
"Fifty-one political parties participated in the 13th National Parliamentary Election," Rahman stated during a post-election press conference held at the Hotel InterContinental in the capital on Saturday (February 14).
A Victory for the People
Expressing gratitude to the interim government and the Election Commission for conducting a fair election, the BNP chief urged citizens to remain vigilant while working together. He characterized the election results as a triumph for the people's will.
"The freedom-loving people of this country have brought victory to the BNP. This is a victory for the masses," Rahman said. "As of Saturday, everyone is free. Congratulations to all. A journey toward a state free from fascism has begun with the participation of everyone."

Addressing National Challenges
Acknowledging the difficult road ahead, the BNP leader highlighted the need to immediately address the country's "fragile economic condition" and "weak law and order situation." He emphasized that tackling these systemic challenges would be a priority and called for the cooperation of all stakeholders to restore stability.
