A High Court bench of Justice ASM Abdul Mobin and Justice Md Sagir Hossain on Sunday granted bail to former mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) Selina Hayat Ivy after hearing five separate cases including a murder case.

Police arrested Ivy from her residence on May 9 in 2025, in connection with the murder of Minarul Islam, a garment worker, who was shot dead during the movement on July 20 in 2024, at the Adamjee area in Narayanganj.

Minarul's brother Nazmul Haque filed a case against 132 people including Ivy with Siddhirganj Police Station on September 23 in 2024.
