Beyond direct hiring, leadership projected support exceeding 4,500 indirect roles across domestic supply chains and broader economic channels. Bidding for the terminal assignment places Menzies against rival international handlers Çelebi Aviation, dnata, Swissport and SATS.

Briefing contributors included Charles Wyley (executive vice-president for Middle East, Africa, and Asia), John Henderson (senior vice-president of operations for Middle East and Africa), and British High Commission Dhaka trade and investment director Sakib Ershad.

Outlined capital commitments target operational setup, workforce capability expansion, and domestic aviation skill-building.

Framework highlights feature a dedicated Menzies Training Academy in Dhaka delivering international-benchmark instruction and long-term career pathways for locals, paired with academic tie-ups spanning universities, colleges, and schools for specialized curricula, internships, and graduate transition channels designed to elevate operational, technical, and managerial proficiency.

Additional domestic integration encompasses local uniform sourcing and manufacturing to bolster domestic textile engagement, workforce localization, leadership tracks, and expanded bilateral commerce and knowledge exchange between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.

Introducing a secondary passenger-handling provider aims to foster competitive service standards at the third terminal, where the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh targets partial functional launch by December 16, 2026.
